Growing Family: Savings Accounts
HEY KIDS! There are so many rewarding reasons for kids to save. Shelby County State Bank is giving them one more reason to save by incorporating a rewards program through the Junior Savers Club! The new program officially took effect on April 1, 2009. Here’s how it works!

Who can be a Junior Saver?
Any child age 0-12.
What do I have to do to join?
Simply open a savings account at any SCSB.
What are some of the club activities?
Junior Savers Club activities are held 2-3 times per year. The "Stasher’s $avers” section can be read in the SCSB newsletter or online at scsbnet.com. This section of the newsletter covers many topics including the value of smart saving tools, money management and other fun activities.
What do I receive for joining?
- Junior Savers' Club t-shirt
- Junior Savers' Club rewards card
What's a rewards card?
For every deposit of $5 or more that a Junior Savers Club member makes, he or she will receive one stamp on a reward card worth 5 points. Once a member obtains 50 points, the card can be redeemed for one of the following rewards:
Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza coupon
Small LED rechargeable flashlight
$5 Shelby County Chamber certificate
Club members are limited to one stamp on their rewards card per day. Up to 200 points may be redeemed per year, per club member. All existing Junior Savers Club stamp cards under the current program will still be honored. As of April 1, 2009 all Junior Savers Club cards issued will be for the new rewards program.
